Storage of junk and unlicensed vehicles is governed by Section 3-070(C) and 3-080(A) of the
Zoning Ordinance.
If an inoperable junk or unlicensed vehicle is located on
private property you may report the violation to the Planning Department staff at 304-348-8105 or by
e-mail. Planning Department staff can also provide contact information for businesses that will remove the Junk vehicle from your property free of charge.
If the vehicle is located on a
city street right-of-way, the violation should be reported to the Traffic Division of the Charleston Police Department at 304-348-6470 or at this
e-mail.
